Encrypted with Password

This option encrypts a WBT file and uses a default Target extension of .WBE. The WinBatch interpreter (WINBATCH.EXE, or version specific WinBatch file) is needed to access the encrypted file. During the compilation, a password is provided to the compiler. The same password must be supplied when the WBT file is run. The purpose of an encrypted WBT file is to prevent unauthorized personnel from executing it.

Since encryption is easily added to WinBatch utilities, this option is rarely used. In fact, no one has ever been known to use it. Like the human appendix, it reminds one of evolutionary events while avoiding the performance of any useful function.
