Compiler Installation

The installation program is itself a Windows application, so make sure Windows is running.

Make sure that NO WinBatch WBT files are currently running.

WinBatch cannot be installed from a drive shared over a network.

You will generally need Administrator access to install WinBatch.

  1. Download the .zip file for WinBatch+Compiler and save to a local drive.

  2. Unzip the .zip file to a new (empty) directory.

  3. Once unzipped, locate and run the SETUP.EXE.

  4. You will be prompted for the directory to install WinBatch.  The default will be C:\PROGRAM FILES\WINBATCH on 32-bit Windows or C:\PROGRAM FILES(x86)\WINBATCH on 64-bit Windows.  It is recommended that you install WinBatch using these defaults, especially on Windows Vista and newer.

  5. At the end of the install, WinBatch Navigator will be launched.  Click on the [License Info] button in the lower left corner.  In the small dialog box that appears, click the [Enter New License Numbers] button. You are now ready to begin entering your License ID and NUM.

    1. In the "Registration ID" field, enter your License ID. It is generally a 6-digit number ( i.e. 823456 ).

    2. In the "Control Number" field, enter your 16-alphanumeric License NUM ( i.e. BG01-29*P...etc. ). Note: This field is NOT case-sensitive.

    3. Press OK.

    4. You may be prompted for a Licensee Name. Enter the name of the licensee. Note: This can be any name you would like.

    5. Press OK.

    6. You should see a message stating "Thank you for your support."

    7. If you get a message stating 'Invalid licensing Data' then start this process over from the beginning.

The first time you run the Compiler you will be asked to re-enter your license number.

From the Windows Start Menu, select All Programs | WinBatch and run WBCompiler.exe.

  3. Press OK.

  4. You should see a message stating "Thank you for your support."

  5. If you get a message stating 'Invalid licensing Data' then start this process over from the beginning.
